Millican Farms Inaugural CSA
Membership dates: April 12th, 2010 through July 3rd, 2010 (12 Weeks, delivered*)
Membership Size: This initial CSA offering will be limited to 25 Members
Consistent Crops (Grown in 6000 ft2 Greenhouse): Cherry, Grape, Beefsteak Tomatoes, Seedless Cucumbers, Mini-Watermelon, Herbs (Basil & Dill).
Seasonal Crops: Lettuce, Cabbage, Brussels Sprouts, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Kohlrabi, Collards, Chinese cabbage, Turnips, Swiss Chard, Spinach, Sweet Corn, Potatoes, Onions, Beets, Carrots, Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Herbs, Summer Squash, Cucumbers, Beans, Peas, Peppers - Other suggestions welcome!
Commitment: You commit up front for 12 weeks of produce delivery – If there is no delivery one week for any reason, then your membership will be extended for that week; in other words, you only pay for the weeks we deliver! You will receive at least $30 worth of produce for a full share, or $20 worth for a half share, based on current farmers’ market prices.
To indicate your interest in joining the Millican Farms Inaugural CSA for the 2010 season, please fill out and return the membership contract (link on left) with your $50.00 refundable deposit. Submission of this application is not a guarantee of membership. You will be advised by e-mail or telephone of the acceptance of your application, and at that time we will confirm your payment and delivery schedule.
Comments are always welcome! Please provide feedback on how we are doing and let us know how we can continue to improve our CSA. You will soon be able to monitor the farms progress and post comments on our website. In the mean time, please send comments/suggestions to csa@MillicanFarms.com. Inaugural members will not only help us develop the best CSA in the Brazos Valley, but they will also receive priority membership for future CSA’s, including this coming fall when we will offer premium, locally grown greenhouse vegetables along with our traditional seasonal selections from November 1st through the 4th of July.
Please note that the completed application must be mailed to our PO Box, since Millican does not have rural delivery.
